In Memoriam ...
At the end of the Rainbow Bridge there is a Peaceful Valley
where our beloved pets who have gone before wait for us.
Someday we will be together again.

Coffee Man

IN MEMORY OF COFFEE MAN
Also known lovingly as "The Nasty Little Creature"

My little Coffee Man came to live with us after his person abandoned him and another dog.  He was no youngster then but just full of himself and absolutely the cutest thing you'll ever want to see.  He was a Heeler/Australian Shepherd / and God only knows what else, X.  He was black, tan & gray and had a docked tail and weighed probably 25 lbs. soaking wet, which he generally was.  He loved the water and came by his AKA of "Nasty Little Creature" honestly.  When I was trying to fill water buckets or his pool with the water hose, he would run through the water biting at it and getting soaking wet then go find dirt and proceed to roll over and over till he had mud caked all over him.  He would then shake himself off and make a funny little sound that sounded like a motor boat as he shook.  I always clipped him down for summer because he stayed in the water.  Since our move to our new place, Coffee had his own water hole to play in.  He would chase a big basketball around his pond trying to get it to shore.  This was a happy dog and a joy to watch.

On Saturday, when I saw him just laying around and not being his usual playful self, I knew something was wrong.  I picked him up and put him where I could keep an eye on him.  He wasn't in pain and was enjoying the attention.   My sweet little Coffee Man crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Sunday, August 26, 2001, as he slept on a soft mattress.  He has left a great big old hole in my heart and is already terribly missed but I was very lucky to have known this wonderful little guy.  He brought a lot of joy to everyone.  He thoroughly enjoyed being a dog and loved everyone he came into contact with.

I LOVE YOU COFFEE MAN, MY NASTY LITTLE CREATURE.

FROM HIS MOM DOG,

CAROLE
