In Memoriam ...
At the end of the Rainbow Bridge there is a Peaceful Valley
where our beloved pets who have gone before wait for us.
Someday we will be together again.

Otis

Otis came to us in 1993.  He was adopted but came back because the little boy he was to be a companion to was mentally challenged and was mean to him.  The parents realized this wasn't fair to Otis so they brought him back. There isn't one thing anyone can say bad about this fellow.  He was simply wonderful.  He had become something of a mouser dog.  He could be very focused and was extremely good at sitting for hours on end just waiting for a mouse or whatever else has crawled into a hole or under the steps, to stick it's head out.  Of course, they usually go out another hole but still, there he sat.

Otis had been with us for over 10 years, ruling his part of our world with his sparkling eyes & patient demeanor.  He was loved by all who knew him and was lucky enough to spend his last golden years in the company of a wonderful fostermom who adored him.  A recurring tumor develop on his rear leg which had twice been removed.  This time when it came back it was malignant & had invaded the bone.  Veterinary evaluation determined that Otis was in a great deal of pain & discomfort.  It was easy to tell that this old sweetie had lived the best part of his life & was ready for the relief that awaited him at the Bridge.  Otis has been allowed a peaceful crossing, held in the arms of one who loved him.  He waits for us there.
