| Terri is a young adult Border Collie. She has the typical
energetic BC temperament. She is the type of dog that was never
content to just lay in the sun & watch the grass grow. Terri NEEDED
a mission .. a job .. something to keep her mind & body active. Lady Luck smiled on Terri in the form of a nice lady with some acreage, some cows, a herd of goats & a need for a good dog to help her keep tabs on all of them. These pictures were taken at Terri's first introduction to the farm. With a little training, it looks like she will have the "purpose" in her life that she desired and the "furever home" that she deserved. We look forward to getting updates & more pictures soon. UPDATE 4-12-2005: Hi Carol, I was just going to update you on Terri. I changed her name to Kari. She is doing great. She really loves the goats. Every time I let her out to help me go feed she wants to go straight to the goat pen. She just sits by the pen and watches them. Sometimes when I feed, the cattle try to come over and eat my hay out of my golf cart wagon, I look at her and tell her to keep them away and she pushes them away from my hay until I call her off. She is very smart and always wanting to help me. Thank you so much for bringing her to me. At least now I don't have to chase her for an hour to make her stop. Thanks again. I will try to send you some pictures. Update 2-08-2005:
Just to let you know that I changed Terri's name to Kerri. She has been
great. You would not believe how well she minds. She watches me where ever
I am at. We are still learning together. She is very smart. She sits,
heels, goes down when I tell her to, and I can make her move cattle when I
want to. I have never taken her to classes. She has picked it up on her
own. Her favorite thing to do is when I let her out of her pen everyday is
to go and watch the goats until I need her for something. I really love
Kerri. She is the smartest dog I have ever had. I don't have to chase her
anymore to call her off of the cows. It only takes one time. |
