For purposes of clarification, Animal Angels finds it necessary to publish this statement: In May of 2006, we were told that our good name was being sullied
because a group that called themselves "Animal Angels of America"
had adopted or "sold", sick puppies to people at an off-site event.
Those that know me and Animal Angels quickly let everyone know it
was most definitely not Animal Angels. We launched an investigation
that led us to Amber Dawn Elvington, the owner of "Animal Angels of
America". Animal Angels has been around for a long time and we felt
we needed to put a disclaimer on our website to let everyone know
that Amber Elvington was not now nor had ever been a representative
of or associated with Animal Angels. We also contacted our attorney,
Randall Turner. He wrote Ms. Elvington a certified letter saying she
needed to cease using Animal Angels in any part of the name of her
group. It was received and nothing more was heard from Ms. Elvington
until recently. Although the disclaimer has been on our website
since the end of May of 2006, it has just come to her attention I
