Hound dogs generally make great indoor pets because unless they are on a "hunt", they rarely are inclined to be very energetic. They are perfectly content to be couch potatoes & to keep the rug warm while the humans are away.
*** We look forward to getting updates & pictures from home soon. UPDATE 02-03-2005: S-l-o-w-l-y but surely Bonnie is starting to chill out. She now at least acts glad to see me and wags her tail. I wasn't expecting her to come when called, but at first she hid from me in the bushes. Now she comes out and sort of teases me for a while but will finally come up to me and let me guide her inside the house. She still jumps out of her skin at 'loud' noises (anything above a talk or anything sudden). Won't be long before Miss Bonnie is settled comfortably on her favorite bed or rug, doing what "hound-dawgs" do best ... |
