In Memoriam ... At the end of the Rainbow Bridge there is a Peaceful Valley where our beloved pets who have gone before wait for us. Someday we will be together again.

Caeli

Caeli took
my heart the first time I saw her at the Sanctuary. I asked Carole
who she was, she just caught my eye. When she came to live with us she
took Gayle's heart also. She was the most beautiful "warthog" anyone
could ask for. She had an infectious smile, with that little belly that
drug the ground. In her last year she became known as "snap dragon", for
she had our big Collie terrified. He is still waiting for her to jump
out from behind the furniture and snap at him. Last year Caeli got to
live on the farm with us, the highlight of her life. She would run out
the door and head straight for the barn where she would get her fill in
the stalls. She would wonder off so far we would have to take the wagon
and get her. Another highlight for Caeli was to go for a ride. We would
take the top off of the Jeep and set her in the back seat between the
kids and head out on Sunday afternoon. She was just beaming. I will say
she loved the farm almost as much as she loved June bugs. She also knew
tricks. She could speak, and roll over and play dead if you went bang
bang. Caeli was such a wonderful little dog and I will miss her. She
passed while here in her home where she was loved. We'll miss her but as
it was meant for her to get to me, it was meant for her to go on where
her heart is strong again. We told her as we tell them all, "Look for
Tucker, he will walk with you as he walks with all Animal Angels". And I
suspect she is across that bridge dealing Jossie Mae pure misery again.
Jossie got to live her last years here and she and Caeli hated each
other. Well, we are just waiting on the next one to be sent our way.
There will be many more to come, and our door is always open. |
