Update 5-10-2005:  Hi Carole & Pat,
I wanted to let you know that Carly (renamed Rosie) is doing great. She goes to work with me every day and is my store's official greeter. She's grown a bit and is healthy and happy, and really enjoys splashing in the lake. She's a grand companion, thank you so much!

Little Carly was running down the side of a Texas highway .. all 13 lbs of her .. covered in seed ticks & fleas ..dodging cars & trucks & hoping for a guardian to come along & save her. One did & soon she was safe, clean, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, well fed & snuggled in at the Sanctuary.

After a few weeks, a nice lady came out to visit with several potential new additions to her family.  A short time later, Carly was sitting pretty on her lap, giving doggie kisses & working her way into the lady's heart. The rest is history & happy updates like the one above.
