Designer Dogs

They are all the latest rage .. Labradoodles, Puggles, Pekepoos ... you see them everywhere.  It seems that everybody wants one & is willing to pay many $$$ to purchase one.  Do you realize that these "designer breeds" are easy to find in nearly every shelter & rescue group in the country?  For all the hype, it is still a FACT that these designer dogs are nothing more than well publicized MUTTS .. crossbreeds of various mixes to produce the end result.  And in the world we live in, this happens in nature on a regular basis without intervention from anyone trying to make $$$ on the results.  Often these mixed-breed animals end up being dumped in the country or abandoned when their people move.  After all .. they are just MUTTS .. an accidental creation of mixed background.  They are everywhere.  We have many at our Sanctuary.

Labradollies are a great mix having the high intelligence & energy of the Border Collie with the calm, gentle demeanor of the Labrador Retriever.  Champ (on the left) & Annie Pearl are just 2 of several  1st generation Texas Labradollie Dogs that call our Sanctuary home.  AnnieP is an energetic, happy, good-natured girl who wants a family of her own to love & lavish doggie-kisses on.  Champ is a big  pup that someone dumped in the country.  A local "bubba" shot him with a shotgun & our vet spent a lot of time picking pellets out of his face.  He still has a pellet lodged in one eye.  Champ is less than 1 yr old & the sweetest big baby you can imagine.  He just wants someone to love him.

We also have a good supply of Blue Heeler/Border Collie mixes (pick your designer name - Hollie, Bluederlie, ???)  and many black, brown or spotted ones in various sizes.
