This memorial is special to me even though I never met this magnificent lady called Heidi.  I have known her mistress, Susie, for many years.  We were both Flight Attendants for American Airlines and flew together a lot until Susie decided to go on international.  Susie was involved in a crash at DFW Intl. Airport in the seventies and suffered severe closed head trauma.  She never was able to return to flying.  I haven't see Susie in years but we are in contact via email.  She lost her best friend Heidi, to cancer on March 3, 2005.  Anyone who has ever loved an animal and had to allow that beloved animal to cross over, knows how badly it hurts.  Heidi brought Susie unconditional love and comfort.  Thank you Heidi.
