In Memoriam ... At the end of the Rainbow Bridge there is a Peaceful Valley where our beloved pets who have gone before wait for us. Someday we will be together again.

Today, June 23, 2009, we allowed our big beautiful Hunter, to cross the Rainbow Bridge. We were blessed to have Hunter come live with us on December, 12, 2008. He was without a doubt, the smartest dog in the world and had a larger vocabulary than most 5 yr. old kids. When he came to live with us, he was so skinny but we managed to put weight on him and he got up to 90 lbs. but he always looked too skinny. It's a known fact that Great Danes don't live long but 5 1/2 years was far too short a life for this magnificent animal. We'll miss his "rooing" when he wants to go out or eat. We'll also miss his head butts when he wanted to give us a hug. Our big boy wanted to be with his humans and his separation anxiety could have been a problem which is why we never were able to find him a home. Most folks have a job and can't spend 24/7 with their pets. We are lucky because we were able to have him with us all the time. We have a van so he was able to go with us. If he did lose sight of us, you could hear him "roooing" and the van would be rockin'. We could take him anywhere and never worry about him leaving our side. We only had him six months but he was a huge presence and he leaves a awfully big hole in our hearts and home. He is missed and will not be forgotten and I know he'll be waiting at the bridge.
