Lady Bell

Lady Bell is a beautiful Blue Tick Coon Hound who was found near Sanger, TX. in April, 2004.  The person who took her in said that she had been "dumped".  This lady took her to her vet & paid for all her care.  She then contacted us to find her a "furever home".  Fortunately, Lady Bell was seen on our website & it was soon decided that Bell was moving to Louisiana.

UPDATE - 6-14-2004: A recent note from Lady Bell's new family says:

Carole,

I can't believe we have only had her for 10 days, she is so much a part of the family.  Molly has finally decided to accept her.  They have begun following scents together, which is lots of fun to watch.  They will run for 45 minutes and then take a dip in the lake.

They come in at night, but we have to watch Belle.  She is just like a puppy and thinks everything she sees is a toy for her.  So far we've stopped her before she does too much damage, but it makes me wonder if she has ever been a house dog.  It also reinforces that she is a young dog, in spite of her pendulous teats.  The other day, I was sitting in front of the bathroom mirror getting ready for work and saw her in the mirror as she walked across our bed.  Even though we are having to see her through the late childhood, she is so comical we have to laugh.

She continues to be very loving--craves it.  She will come up to one of us to get petted, and then she goes back to her business.  If we stop before she has had her fill, she puts her paw on us.  Fabulous dog!!

Thank you and your crew for the marvelous job you are doing with these dogs.  The fact that Belle has never shown fear shows that they have loving care with you.

We're looking forward to reading about her in "happy tales!"

Linda

Well, Linda .. here she is.  Please keep those Updates coming .. we love to post these Happy Tails for all to read.

Update 1-19-2005: Carole, Lady Belle continues to thrive.  She and our other Bluetick are constant companions.  They spend the days outside and the evenings by the fire.  They sleep in our bedroom on a shared pallet.  I tried giving them 2 separate beds but they always ended up together.  They give us so much joy!
