Ms. Mary was found
wandering a busy rural highway in November, 2003. She was VERY
pregnant, malnourished & dehydrated. We were able to nurse her
back to good health after her mixed breed pups were born & she has been
a resident of the Sanctuary every since ... just waiting for her Special
Someone to find her.
Her
time has come!! Mary has been adopted. She now has an older
Black Lab "brother" & humans who will spoil her with the kind of TLC she
deserves. She certainly seems to be enjoying it in this picture.
Her new "Dad" sends this update:
Update
1-13-2006:
Carole - things appear to be working out
just fine with Mary. She seems very happy in her new environment and
gets along just fine with Vandal, her new companion. And she just loves
the rest of the family. This dog wags her tail so vigorously that she’ll
knock you over with her butt!!! I assume that means she’s pretty happy.
She’s loving, happy and compliant. What more could one ask for? I
promise you she’ll get plenty of love here. She’s going to the vet
today for her rabies shot, and tomorrow she’s going to the doggie spa to
get groomed and prettied up. I’ll take a few pictures of her in her new
residence later this weekend and email them to you.
I admire you greatly for the work you do. You are a special person and
true blessing to the animals you care for. I thank you for working with
me and helping me find a worthy companion for Vandal, and a welcomed
addition to the our household.
