Molly

Good Golly, Miss Molly - what a beautiful girl!  Molly was rescued from an abandoned house in Jack County where she & several others had just been dumped to fend for themselves.  Molly loves tummy rubs & will roll over for one at the drop of a hat. She always has her "happy face" on - like she is smiling all the time. She is a little shy but that will abate once she starts bonding with someone.  Molly has been spayed & is UTD on her shots. She has her bags packed & is eagerly waiting for her Special Person to come & get her.

Molly's long wait came to a wonderful end on 3-14-2005 when her very own Special Person came & took her home.  We look forward to many updates & pictures & will post them when we get them.  We'll start with this one.   Molly loves her tummy rubs & it looks like her new mom knows how to handle that.

We wish them both many happy years together.

Updates will be listed below with the most recent ones first.

UPDATE 6-29-2005:  Hello Carole,   Wanted to say Hi, and give you an update on Molly. She is such a joy! She is so happy, and I think she is starting to think of us as family. She is still a little wary of my other dog, Sugar, who has some food issues. They keep going back and forth on who is Alpha on that issue. But, what is telling is that Molly won't let Sugar go outside without her, and they "patrol" the backyard together. And, when they are inside and Sugar hears something she thinks she needs to bark about, Molly joins right in and backs her up. I think the deal on the food issue is that Sugar is a grazer, and Molly is a plate cleaner. They seem to be working that out also. I have to admit I haven't, as yet, had her dew claws removed. I want her to really feel grounded with us before I do that, and I think we need a little more time. She has had a few accidents in the house, and she gets so cowed when I say no to her. I want her to feel really safe before I have it done. I am watching her nails diligently and they will not bother her paw pads while I am.

I just have to tell you again what joy she has brought to us. I let her sleep on the bed and she gets so excited when it is bedtime. When I am watching TV, she gets up next to me, leans on me, and ducks her head under my arm so I will pet her. Such a sweet temperament. I am so lucky. Thanks again.
Amelia

UPDATE 3-16-2005:  a note from Molly's new Mom says in part:
Molly is doing great.  She is so sweet. ...  She is doing well with my other dog and could care less about the cats, which is great. ... She LOVES my couch.  She's a doll. Thank you for letting me adopt her.

Amelia
