Polly now Ginger

Polly came to the Sanctuary in March, 2003.  She had an old gunshot wound that had left her blind in the right eye.  The pellet could still be felt lodged next to her ear.  Polly was vetted & placed in the adoption program at Operation Kindness where we felt she would have a greater chance of being seen & adopted quicker.  As we had hoped, she was soon to become the cherished pet & family member of a volunteer named Susan.

In a recent update, Susan tells us:  I adopted a wonderful dog ('Polly', now Ginger) from Operation Kindness, where I used to volunteer, in May of 2003.  She is a very sweet 50-pound golden retriever mix; I've attached some pictures of her, taken in my backyard.  She has a very happy home now and lives with me and my 2 cats.  She has a passion for peanut butter, Greenies, long walks and car rides!

Susan adds that they have recently moved to Atlanta.  This is a recent picture of Ginger in her backyard.  We look forward to more updates & pictures from time to time & will post them as we receive them.

Thank You, Susan, for giving Polly/Ginger the love & family that she needed & deserves.
