Rainy is just another sweet little mixed breed dog who found her way to the Sanctuary when no one else wanted her.  She is about 2 yrs old, quiet & even tempered.  She is like so many other gentle creatures that never really get noticed & therefore don't ever get adopted.  They just fade into the background & blend into the surroundings.

Luckily for Rainy a couple who had previously adopted from us wanted a sweet, gentle dog to complete their family.  They needed one that would not jump on or injure an older relative who lives with them.  Rainy was the perfect candidate for this home.  From the reports we are getting, it seems that she has found her "furever home".

Update 1-24-2005:

Carole - Rainy is doing fine so far!  Dick took her straight to Petsmart to get a bath so when I first saw her she looked very pretty and smelled terrific.

She is slowly getting over her shyness. We had some friends come over last night and their 13 yr old son had a ski cap on and she barked at him but after he took it off she was fine. She didn't get real close to them but she at least stayed in the same room.  The cats and rainy are still not sure about each other. They'll soon be fine I'm sure.  She is so sweet and loving!  and Mother really likes her too!
