On a particularly cold night
around the first week in January of 2004, this big dog The only thing I could find wrong with him was some hair loss on his legs and on his side. This could have been mistaken for mange. Rather than go to the vet, it’s possible they just took him to the lake (Eagle Mountain) and turned him out.
UPDATE - 5/11/2004: from Rex's "furever home": Rex is doing great, I just
took him to Petsmart to buy some food snacks and toys. He rode great in
the car and is doing tremendous with the kids and family. He still is a
little nervous around the house, he has not yet attempted to go upstairs.
He is so quiet it is a little scary, he has not made a sound since we've
met him. He does seem to be a little scared, especially of me, but this
will pass with time. I believe we have found a wonderful dog and we are
very pleased. Thank you for what you are doing. It does make a
difference especially to us. |
