Her profile read:  Mercedes is a beautiful young lady about 2 yrs. old, well mannered & friendly. She is spayed & has been recently vet-checked, including x-rays of her hips to ensure that she does not have any problems.  She will be a wonderful companion for the lucky person that makes room in their heart for this big girl.

Her "furever home" came about recently.  Her new mom & dad had been the guardians of German Shepherds for many years & had finally lost them to age & disease.  They have a lot to offer of what Mercedes needs most .. a loving home with people who understand & care about her.  Plus, she has a Cocker Spaniel sister to play with.

Update 2-07-2005:  We renamed our dog Savannah, a city my wife and I love and also a good name for a lady of the south. She is still adjusting but has the dog doors down pat - she just follows our cocker. Savannah is in our study watching me type, Hope my lack of skill doesn't discourage her.  Greg and Kate
