T ~ Bone
Sad News - T-Bone has Crossed the Bridge 5-18-2005
|
T-Bone
came to the Sanctuary in June, 2003. He was reported to already be
about 9 years old which is pushing T-Bone is
one of the sweetest doggies we could ever have in residence. He is
just a big, ol' baby with a giant heart of gold. He really deserved
a "furever home" of his own to spend the rest of his days in.
Therefore, it was with great excitement when we received an application
for one of our Angels & during the conversation, the lady revealed that
she was also interested in T-Bone. Soon the family was on the way to
meet the dogs & decide who would be their new family member. T-Bone now
lives in Abilene. He has a BIG fenced yard when he wants to go out
to play but more importantly, he We look forward to lots of pictures & updates from his new home & will post them when available.
UPDATE ..... T-Bone's mom has already sent a lot of pictures from their trip home. She says: After we left you, we drove to Mineral Wells and introduced T to my brother and his family. T-Bone met all the humans and the five dogs! He was a well mannered guest, and enjoyed meeting my brothers 5 dogs. He did great on the drive home to Abilene. When we turned onto the first "neighborhood" street we see as we enter our area of town T immediately perked up, began looking all around at the houses, and began making noises! The more houses he saw, the more excited he became. Charlie and I were watching him, talking to him, and wondering what in the world was wrong. But, he didn't seem upset, he seemed excited! Carole..........he recognized HOUSES. He knew he used to live in one! It was as if the world he had once came from, was dawning on him all over again. As we turned into our driveway........he was almost beside himself. He knew exactly what a house was..........and took to it immediately! We walked him through the house, letting him discover it at his own time. NOTE: Animal Angels Sanctuary has large communal pens & buildings in a country setting. T-Bone has not been in a house since he came to us .. so you can understand why he was so excited to see city homes again. She continues by telling about T-Bone's trip to the groomer & how he has done so well meeting all of the relatives & in-laws .. human & canine .. and ends with: Thank you so much for taking such good care of T, until God brought us together, and for all of the selfless, wonderful work you do!
God bless,
Cyndy
