UPDATE - March, 2005:  Teddy has found his niche in life.  We adopted him along with a big Pyr  to a nice couple who lived in suburbia but Teddy wasn't meant for that life.  He dug up the underground sprinkler system, howled all night and did everything he could to let us all know that he wasn't happy.  We brought him back to the sanctuary and he now has become one of the guardians for 300+ cats, an alpaca, two goats, two pigs and a multitude of chickens which all belong to our neighbors.  This is a happy dog.  Along with Padre & Shadow, two big Pyrs,  they keep predators away from the property at night. Teddy, is going to be just fine and is doing what he said he was suppose to do.

Teddy was bought, along with several others, as herder dogs for a rancher's livestock. One of the rancher's neighbors had set traps & began shooting at the dogs. Teddy was his last target.

Teddy took a shot in his left front paw. It took several surgeries & an extended period of rest & antibiotics but our vet thinks that he will recover without amputation, although he might always have a slight limp. His wounds are healing nicely & we don't expect any problems.

Teddy is a big, sweet natured baby. He is only about 9 months old & will be a BIG boy when grown. He is ready to be some Special Person's best buddy & companion. All he needs is love .. and someone to cherish him for the wonderful boy that he is.
