Whitney & Nova

Whitney came to the Sanctuary as a stray that had been dumped near a country home where caring people looked after her & tried to find her a safe place to live.  When she came to us, she was terrified of many things and would go into a panic attack if you put a leash around her neck.  She was a sweet little girl but it was going to take a lot of TLC to bring out the best in her.

Nova was one of 3 young female dogs that came in together in March, '04.  A fella drove up to the Sanctuary, opened the back of his pickup truck & put them all out, saying "here .. you take 'um .. I don't want 'um."

These 2 beautiful girls were adopted together by a wonderful family in late April, 2004.  Their lives have been blessed by the open hearts of this family.  Whitney & Nova have a wonderful "furever home" of their own & will soon become cherished family members in their own right.  We look forward to updates & pictures soon.

UPDATE Sept., 2004 ...  Hello! We are the couple who adopted 'Whitney' and 'Nova' back several months ago. I said I'd send pictures and realized that time has flown by and I have not sent anything. We have renamed them Krystie and Kasie (Casey). Kasie has become the definite 'alpha dog' and thinks she's in-charge, but Krystie doesn't seen to mind. They get along great and have been a blessing to my entire family, especially my 8 year old son. They are healthy and happy and a part of our family.

Thanks again for all you do, and God Bless you all.
