Willow

UPDATE - Willow ADOPTED 9-16-2005!!

Below is the sad story of this beautiful little girl whose family loved her so much that they did the only thing they knew to do to be sure that she was cared for when they no longer could provide that care.  I hope they or someone they know reads this & will tell then that their sweet girl has a good home & that she will be happy.  At right is a picture of her new family.  She will get plenty of attention & TLC from the looks of it.  We hope to get updates & new pics from home & will post them here.

May God bless the family who loved her enough to give her up as well as her new family who have given her a second chance & the home she deserves.

Willow Needs a Home

This beautiful little 7 month old GSD-X pup was tied in front of our vet's clinic on Friday night or Saturday morning.  A note, (which is pictured below) accompanied her.  Her name is Willow.  She was spayed today (6-27-2005).  The pics were taken a little while after and she's not quite back to herself from the anesthesia.

Willow is a sweet natured young girl who needs a good home where she will be a cherished family member for the rest of her life.  If you are her Special Person, please complete our Adoption Application to begin the process of taking her home with you.

This is the note that was attached to Willow when she was left tied to the gate.  The text has been transcribed at the right.

Dear sweet Dr. Lillard
I need to ask a huge favor
of you.  I have known you & of yours
my whole life and I know you are
a very good man.
I am aware how hard working &
busy you are and what an imposition
this is, but I hope you can help me.
This is my dog (Willow".  She is about
7 months old.  She is 3/4 German Sheppard
1/4 Rout.   She is very smart "very".
She also very good natured; sweet as
she can be.  She is great with kids
even very small ones.  Very tolerant & happy.
However, she is becoming so big and
she eats a lot.  We (my kids & I) have fallen
on hard times.  I just can't afford her
and I can't afford an add in the paper.
But the idea of turning her over to
animal control breaks my heart.  The won't
try to find her a home & I would die inside
if someone were to kill her.  She would
be the perfect pet for a good family
with a yard.
I know this is a lot to ask, I hope
you can find it in your heart to help
her.
Thank you very much and God Bless
