In Memoriam ...
At the end of the Rainbow Bridge there is a Peaceful Valley
where our beloved pets who have gone before wait for us.
Someday we will be together again.

Ziggy Duncan

09/15/1995 ~ 04/10/2008

Zig-Zag (Ziggy for short) was born in East Texas, named for the little (genetic) kink in her tail. She came to live with her family as companion to all and sister to Tika, then Murphy, little Dachshunds also. Ziggy was a fun, inquisitive and very affectionate puppy who grew up to be a wonderful lady, intelligent, beautiful, sweet, very loving. Ziggy was a fierce protector of home and hearth, be it squirrels in the backyard, possums under the shed, or pizza delivery boys.

Our precious little Ziggy became ill suddenly and was eased out of this life before she experienced any pain. We miss her and will never forget her, and we take comfort in the fact that she lived a very happy and healthy life, filled with siblings, cousins, and all the love and fun she could handle.

We are thankful that God allowed us nearly 13 wonderful years with her. I believe He has given us dogs as an example of how to live our lives: lovingly, happily, faithfully, simply, and trusting in our Master one day at a time.

I Believe In Angels

I believe animals are Angels
 In soft furry disguise
With wet pink tongues and wagging tails
 And wonderful knowing eyes.

I believe they are Angels
Who ask for but one thing.
To love them until the day does come
When God shall give them wings.

I believe they are Angels
Gone to live in that special place
You only have to look in your heart
 To see their glowing face.

Ziggy has gone to that special place where she will patiently wait for her family who loved her so much to join her someday.
